What to expect on a Sunday with Sylvan United Church
Want to Join us for worship but don’t know where to start? Here is all the information you need!
Parking & Accessibility
We have a large parking area outside of our sanctuary. if you can’t find a spot there we have our overflow parking in the back right corner of the property.
Coffee Time
Immediately following worship our dedicated coffee host volunteers are in the hall to greet you with freshly brewed coffee and sweet treats! Stay for 5 minutes or longer there are no expectations!
Maybe you don’t feel comfortable coming for coffee just yet, that’s okay too! It is not a requirement that you stay for coffee, if you have things to do or are just shy you are welcome here!
Dress Code
Come as you are! Whether you’re coming from the garden, dressing to a lunch after we accept you whoever you prefer to dress yourself.
Children
At this time we do not have Sunday School, but that doesn’t stop us from welcoming children to our Sunday Service. Our sanctuary has a large rug for kids that can’t sit in chairs and we also have a number of puzzles/ games to keep the little one entertained during service. Maybe you have an older child, there’s colouring available for them.
Accessibility
All areas of the church are wheelchair accessible, by either being ground level or a ramp. We have two wheelchair accessible washrooms, all gender washrooms, and a baby change table in the sanctuary.
