Bringing it Home

Below, we’ve listed some resources we found were helpful during the Pandemic – and are still pretty interesting.

Lunch Doodles with Mo Willems – author of the Pigeon and other children’s books, and current Artist in Residence at the Kennedy Centre – opens his studio to “draw, doodle and explore new ways of writing”

Cosmic Kids Yoga – many story-themed sessions of yoga, told in a fun and engaging way (and Rev Katherine’s kids really enjoy them).

Being a Good Samaritan: A Pandemic Devotional for Children from the folks at Parenting Forward. Helping children cope with “why” in the uncertainty of disrupted routines and social distancing.

Illustrated Ministry – is offering free weekly resources during the COVID19.  Each week there will be a lesson and colouring pages related to the weekly lectionary readings.

Museums around the world are offering free virtual tours! A list is here, as well as links to the British Museum,  The Lourve, and  Virtual Museum of Canada

Thy Kingdom Come Podcast  from Engage Worship in the UK.  A program exploring the Lord’s Prayer that runs from May 30th- June 9th (Ascension to Pentecost Sundays).  These “daily” podcasts explore the different parts of the Lord’s Prayer, tie it to other Bible stories, and to real life.

Parenting Forward Podcast by Cindy Wong Brandt – “progressive Christian parenting, with a social justice orientation”.

Camp Pringle has also assembled a list of amazing resources for families to do while at home!
