Lent 2026

“Tell Me Something Good”
This Lent, let us remember that the good news really is Good News. It sounds like laughter and feels like mercy. It is joyful – like fine wine saved for a special celebration. It grows like a mustard seed and smells like beautiful perfume poured from an alabaster jar. It tastes like bread passed endlessly through a hungry crowd. The good news is alive in the world – yes, even in our scary, stress-filled world.
We hope this season of Lent will provide fertile ground for conversation and worship, rooting our hearts and lives in the expansive goodness of God. This Lent, we let the teachings of Jesus lead us forward. May the Good News inspire us to take action in our world which is desperate to hear, see, feel and taste what is good – right now.
About the logo: We are using the image of a tree. Usually when we see a tree we only see about two-thirds of it – the part above the ground. Bright spring leaves, budding fruit, fall colour. But trees are about so much more! They need healthy roots embedded into good soil. This Lent we will see how Jesus’ teachings ground us in the good news while calling us to grow outward like living branches. The branches in the image appear also as people with outstretched arms, producing good fruit together.
