Sing Along and Candlelit Messiah concerts are back

We are thrilled to welcome back the Victoria Baroque Youth Orchestra, led by Elyssa Lefurgey-Smith,  to share their intimate and joyful presentation of Handel’s Messiah: Part I, the nativity. This year they add a performance of Corelli’s Christmas Concerto Grosso to begin the festivities. Saturday, December 14th at 2:30pm

All ages welcome – join the soloists and orchestra as you sing in four beloved choruses: For Unto Us a Child is Born, Thou that Tellest Good Tidings, And The Glory of the Lord, ending with the beloved Hallelujah chorus. Rehearsal participation encouraged.

Rehearsals: 11.20am -12.20pm Sunday Nov 17, 24, Dec 1, 8, with a sound check and final rehearsal at 1.30pm on Dec 14th.

We are using Novello edition score – please let us host know if you need a score.

Tickets are $50 for adults, $20 age 13-25 and $10 for children 12 and younger. The are available by clicking here

Candlelit Messiah Concert 5:00pm

If you don’t want to sing along, but want to take in this gorgeous music in a warm and candlelit setting, we are excited to invite you to this concert.  Tickets sold out quickly last year!

Soloists: Eve Daniell, soprano, Ciara Gallagher Beaudin, contralto, Adam Dyjach, tenor, Kyron Basu, bass, with special guest young artists.

This year the youth orchestra adds Corelli’s Christmas Concerto Grosso to begin the programme.

United Church Choir – Our church choir rehearses every second Sunday, after services, from 11.20am – 12.05pm. Music reading and choir experience is helpful but not required. The choir prepares anthems for services and prepares harmony parts of hymns for special occasions.
