This Newsletter about the life and work of Sylvan United Church, apparently began in the late 1980s when Stan organized the first issues. In 2005, Stan retired from editing the Newsletter and since then several people have taken over and introduced different aspects according to their skills and talents. We saw colour introduced into the printing in 2006 and an editorial board introduced in 2008.
Themes for the Newsletter have ranged from topics such as earth, spring and harvest, light, fire and water, climate change and shelter, home and building, aboriginal culture, music, astronomy and belonging, and celebration.
“Celebrating-A-Round” always welcomes submissions and they need not be on theme. Its aim is to provide a medium for individual expression and a forum for dialogue and discussion, while at the same time giving readers a flavour of our church community.
